My Greatest Accomplishment
To start my own entrepreneurial venture designing fashion, footwear and furniture with natural, environmentally sourced materials and without polyester or animal byproducts, after getting public and private business experience from my time co-op’ing for other designer brands and working with designers after graduation.
How Drexel Helped Me
Drexel helped me launch one of my newest ventures by helping me prototype and program stitches for SHIMA SEIKI 3D-printed knitting prototypes before I scaled the idea into samples and production. Being able to test research and development with Drexel before going to the knitting machine’s parent company was beneficial. Drexel helped me with the barriers to entry and onboarding so I could quickly move to commercialize the ideas more efficiently once I connected with the manufacturer
Where I Hope to Be in Five Years
I Hope to Be in Five Years: I hope to be able to offer co-op, employment opportunities, for profit investment or not-for-profit grants for Drexel grads and other like-minded individuals with similar ambitions, to go toward their own startup and entrepreneurship ventures.
How I Pay It Forward
By making every product good for the environment and the end user, only using materials that do not end up as landfill, utilizing waste, recycling and upcycling, eliminating toxic chemicals or animal byproducts to ensure no greenwashing, only using natural fibers, 100% cruelty free and no endocrine disruption for the discerning consumer.
