Physician assistant, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (Maligita, Uganda)
My Greatest Accomplishment: Completing the physician assistant program and board certification, which has enabled me to make a difference in the lives of people who face war and poverty. In recent years, I tended to the wounded in the Khazir Camp in Mosul, Iraq, and I currently provide care to residents of Maligita, a rural community in Uganda. In every location, it has been a joy to provide good medical care for people who face challenges obtaining it. I’m thankful that the training I received enables me to treat every life with dignity.
How Drexel Helped Me: The College of Nursing and Health Professions offered an excellent program, which trained and prepared me to serve as a competent physician assistant. Drexel provided excellent courses, internships and prep exams that prepared me for the certification exam and medical practice.
My Greatest Source of Motivation: To be a faithful steward of the gifts and opportunities God has given me.
Where I Hope to Be in Five Years: Continuing to care for the medical needs of the “least” while serving my Lord, wherever the opportunities lead me.
If My Life Were a Music Video, the Song Would Be: “I Was Made to Praise the Lord” by The Fosters.
