My Greatest Accomplishment:  Completing both my master’s and PhD in engineering while working with my teams to deliver technologies critical to national security. The ability to complete my educational goals while working took an incredible amount of support from my wife, family, friends and team at work. I will never forget their kindness and I plan to continue that kindness with the people that I mentor and sponsor to help them achieve their goals.

How Drexel Helped Me:  I would not have the executive position that I have now without my Drexel master’s in electrical engineering. Drexel allowed me to complete my graduate education while working full time as an engineer leading research, development and production programs for our government sponsors. It was invaluable to have professors who understood the demands of working students and were invested in helping me successfully complete the challenging program.

My Greatest Source of Motivation: My grandmothers. Neither had the privilege of extensive formal education, but through wisdom and hard work they laid the foundation for the opportunities I am able to take advantage of today. When I think about how hard a task may be or how difficult a problem is to solve, I think about how they never quit, and it motivates me to keep going.

Where I Hope to Be in Five Years:  I want to be making the greatest impact possible building the next generation of science, technology, engineering and math leaders. This includes seeing more of the early career professionals and students that I mentor become technical leaders in their chosen fields and become mentors for others. As an executive working in national security, I know that our ability to grow and nurture our future innovators will be impactful for the nation.

If My Life Were a Music Video, the Song Would Be:Amazing Grace,” because I am grateful to God for the opportunities I have had.
