Drexel Athletics received a significant contribution to the Vidas Athletic Complex renovation campaign from Dennis Fink ’78, his wife Dee and family. Fink Family Scoreboard, a state-of-the-art LED display for Vidas Field, will mark the first phase of the complex’s transformation.

Fink’s gift was amplified by a $1 million matching challenge from Drexel University Trustee Jim Bean ’91 and his wife Christine, who pledge to match all gifts and commitments $25,000 and above.

“As a former player, proud father to collegiate lacrosse players and current high school coach, I know how imperative it is to have facilities that reflect the hard work and dedication of the student athletes and athletic staff,” says Fink.

Fink, who has supported Drexel and Drexel Athletics for almost 30 years, graduated as the second-leading scorer in Drexel lacrosse history. His 206 career points currently rank third in program history, and his 126 assists still stand as the most ever by a Drexel lacrosse player. He earned the University’s first ever Division I All-America honor when he was named Honorable Mention his senior year, a season in which he led the country in assists (63) and points (98). He was inducted into the Drexel Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985 and was named to the Drexel Lacrosse 75th Anniversary Team last year.
