MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF THE GARDEN PLASTIC SURGERY, THE GARDEN MEDICAL SPA, THE GARDEN WELLNESS AND THE GARDEN MASSAGE

Michael Mirmanesh of The Garden wellness brand is an alumnus honoree of Drexel Magazine's 40 Under 40 Class of 2026.

Michael Mirmanesh has built a 10-location cosmetic surgery and wellness brand spanning multiple states.

Many high-achieving people have followed in one of their parent’s footsteps. Few have become as accomplished as Michael Mirmanesh, MD. An award-winning plastic surgeon who was named a Top 10 Plastic Surgeon in the USA under 40 in 2024, Mirmanesh attended medical school at Drexel, where his father, S. Jay Mirmanesh, MD, was once a professor. He’s proud of that lineage, but as he says, “It is the application of that calling — founding a multi-state business rooted in ethics — that defines my career.” Mirmanesh serves as medical director of The Garden, a 10-location cosmetic surgery, spa wellness and massage brand in South Jersey, Tampa Bay and Palm Beach. He hopes to grow the company into a national brand.

“In an aesthetic and wellness industry often clouded by fluff, I am committed to scaling our results-only philosophy — ensuring that doing the right thing for the client remains the gold standard of care.”
Michael Mirmanesh

In addition to leading a robust wellness brand, Mirmanesh is the founder of Oto Angels, a nonprofit that provides free ear surgery for children and young adults with prominent ears. He is also an award-winning researcher with more than a dozen publications and multiple book chapters and is an internationally invited speaker. Some of his later success was evident at Drexel: classmates elected him class president all four years, an early sign of the leadership style he would later bring to his practice.

In his own words…

My Greatest Accomplishment:

The successful integration of my professional calling and my personal devotion. Following in the footsteps of my father and brother to become a physician was a proud milestone, and building my business allowed me to apply that calling to a successful career. Above all, however, I measure my success by my presence at home; being a devoted husband and a constant, active father to my four children is the accomplishment that truly sustains me.

How Drexel Shaped My Path:

Drexel was the crucible where my professional and personal lives converged. Beyond providing the rigorous foundation necessary to excel in medicine, the University instilled in me the core values of grit, collaboration and enduring friendship. Serving as class president for all four years taught me the nuances of leadership and advocacy, but Drexel’s most profound gift was introducing me to my wife. The lessons in teamwork I learned in the lecture halls continue to serve as the bedrock of our life together today.

Where I Hope To Be in Five Years:

In five years, I envision a life of deepened roots and expanded reach. Personally, I look forward to remaining a cornerstone for my family, enjoying the Florida sunshine and serving my local community through civic engagement to preserve the character of our family-friendly beach town. Professionally, I aim to see The Garden recognized as a preeminent national brand. DM
