Vinny Dhillon, 39

From first-generation student to CEO, Vinny Dhillon built a global staffing firm spanning continents and Fortune 500 clients.

Vinny Dhillon’s professional journey spans continents, defined by a drive to build, scale and break barriers. Raised in a modest farming family in Punjab, India, she became the first in her family to pursue higher education — earning a scholarship to Drexel, where she graduated in biomedical engineering. She then pursued premedical sciences and medical research at the University of Pennsylvania, deepening her expertise in health care and scientific innovation. However, her entrepreneurial spirit soon led her to the staffing industry. Today, as president and CEO of Philadelphia-based Pacer Group, Dhillon has transformed the company into a global workforce solutions leader with operations across the United States, Canada, India and Europe, specializing in placing talent in the IT, health care and engineering industries.

“Coming to Drexel as an international student gave me exposure to new environments and perspectives, especially through the co-op program, which provided early entry into the corporate world.” Vinny Dhillon

Under her leadership, Pacer has exceeded 30% year-over-year revenue growth, expanded into multiple international markets and completed strategic acquisitions, including IT services and staffing firm Superbeo in 2025. She now leads one of the largest minority women-owned staffing companies, serving Fortune 500 clients across all 50 U.S. states and more than 15 countries. Dhillon’s impact extends beyond business performance. She has been recognized by the consulting firm Staffing Industry Analysts as part of the Global Power 150 Women in Staffing and is widely regarded as a strong advocate for inclusion through her support of STEM education and commitment to advancing opportunities for women in technology.

In her own words…

My Greatest Accomplishment:

Starting my own firm and growing it into one of the largest and fastest-growing in the industry is my biggest accomplishment. It’s what keeps me motivated every day.

How Drexel Shaped My Path:

Coming to Drexel as an international student was a transformative step in my journey. It gave me exposure to new environments and perspectives, especially through the co-op program, which provided early entry into the corporate world. Drexel created the space for me to explore, learn and build the foundation for my career.

Where I Hope To Be in Five Years:

Over the next five years, my focus is on scaling Pacer Group across new verticals and accelerating our global expansion. I envision Pacer becoming one of the largest and most influential staffing firms, known for innovation, quality and impact. DM
